That was a point- ... landing in Faro ... I hardly had to wait to pick up Micha again. Now the question was: Where to? The Algarve threatened with rain - Spain tempted with sun, the rock labyrinth is definitely worth a visit - the Spanish border is just as far away and has long sandy beaches. We were torn back and forth and spent the night above Tavira. Bitten by mosquitoes, we decided for the sun the next morning and drove across the very wide Rio Guadiana to Spain. The rivers here are somehow all very wide and powerful. At Isla Cristina we found a quiet spot close to the beach. And what a beach!!! ... lonely, endless, with shells, calm sea (oh dear - not for surfers ,-) and gentle waves. The ideal place for long walks on the beach for two... and nothing else far and wide. No wonder an old earworm is settling in my head: '...which I found only yesterday, ...' Everything is closed - hotels, restaurants, cafes, supermarkets, public toilets ... the entire infrastructure is shut down. '...taken away by the tide.' Hm? It could be because it's already November... With 25°C and the wonderful beaches, you just forget about it. The water is still warm too. ' Like the footprints in the sand - What has remained with me?' Where are all the German retirees??? Are they all turning towards Morocco at Gibraltar? I admit it. Faced with the damp, cool days on the Portuguese Atlantic coast, we also had such thoughts ... But now we enjoy the twosome solitude before the journey continues to Seville. 'Your footprints...' etc. ... tralala ...
