02 - 01.08.23: Stage 02 Marz - Bromberg

Tuesday 01.08.23: After a restless night - couldn't find a pain-free position - I sorted out my bones and checked my options at breakfast. Feet surprisingly okay; muscle soreness everywhere - I can ignore that! Knee still swollen and painful. Ok...taking a rest day today! I don't want to stress myself out! However, since I have already booked 6 accommodations, it seems easiest to complete today's stage using public transportation.

Firstly, I will walk the 3 km from Marz to Mattersburg again - to catch the train to Wr.Neustadt!

Weather forecast: It has started raining heavily by now - so it's not the typical hiking day anyway. One more note: Yesterday, during the long first stage, it was sunny and hot with 32°C in the shade........but where was the shade?
