Strandabschnitte am Cape Range Nationalpark
Exmouth, Australia

After a calm and not too warm night, we moved on to 'activities', which for us today meant: hiking and swimming, but not just around the corner; it involves long distances - as always. First, we headed to the end of the coastal road in the 'Cape Range National Park'. There, the Yardie Creek flows through a canyon. The path on the rocks was untouched by human hands, and there was hardly any wind there, so: hat on, net over us, as the bush flies are ubiquitous. At the end of the canyon, the river flows into the ocean, where mangroves also thrive! The reddish-brown coloration of the rocks is always impressive. Today, we reached maximum temperatures of 32 °C! This means we saw few animals. Only the eagle sat, as if carved from stone, watching for food. Upon returning to the car, we took the same way back but with many stops at beach sections, sometimes with shells, sometimes with some seaweed, and sometimes some sun seekers - the water always turquoise to blue. To reach the beaches, you drive off the main road, and at the end of the path, before the dune, there's a parking lot, often with a toilet. Snacks are not available along the way, so it's important to have enough water with you.

To finish, we stocked up a bit - our car was particularly 'hungry' since the day after tomorrow, we have a longer stretch without a gas station. The last picture shows the shell haul from our neighbors. They must know particular spots, surely 'underwater', because you can't usually find such things on the beach.
