After a long sleep and a tasty breakfast, influenced by Asian cuisine, we set off at 9:20 AM for the second day tour through Sydney. The thermometer already showed 21 degrees, and it was expected to reach up to 30 degrees. We let ourselves be carried through the city towards the Harbour Bridge.

What looks like a church is actually the town hall. It seems relatively small, but this is due to the time of its construction - the 19th century. Old and new intertwine constantly. The new buildings rise dramatically. Space is limited, and 5 million people also want to live and work somewhere. Many streets are one-way, which gives us confidence when we think about having to navigate out of the hustle in 2 days with the car.

The visible coat of arms embodies Australia. The shield displays the 6 states. It is held by a kangaroo and an emu. According to the internet, they symbolize progress as they cannot move backward. Interesting!

We extensively circled the opera house. It was relaxing and shady in the park 'The Domain' next to the opera. A cup of 'Tropical Açaí' reminded us of Brazil. The sorbet made from this 'Açaí berry' is very refreshing. At 2:30 PM, we started a bike tour through the city with Jimmi from 'Bonza-Tour' and 7 other tourists. We passed by things we had already seen, but also new sights: the new district 'Barangaroo', the Darlington Harbour, city zoo, aquarium... At 5 PM, we then headed home and experienced the end of office hours and the 'after-work time' in the many bars. For dinner tonight, we opted for pizza, accompanied by a chilled white wine.

Dorit erkenne ich auch von hinten und mit Helm bei der Radtour. Besonders hübsch das Bild mit den Vogelkäfigen... Die Erklärung mit dem Fortschritt und dem nicht rückwärts gehen - sehr interessant :-)
