What is a memory?
An image in the head and a feeling in the heart.
The morning was hectic and my suitcase was not yet fully packed. I was really running late today – I saw the ICE leave without me, but somehow I still managed to make it. Again, I had a suitcase that was way too heavy and some escalators that weren't working. It's always the same with me. They say traveling is easier with light luggage. I had a very pleasant train ride. Along the way, I took a Fika break, and the black filter coffee from DB was quite impressive and flavorful. When I got off at Frankfurt Central Station, these feelings I like to refer to as 'feelings of freedom' surged up in me again. The colorful hustle and bustle. Life. And people as diverse as this very experience. I always feel a lot of energy in my body and especially in my heart. I associate many beautiful memories with Frankfurt. Many significant journeys began here. Many years ago, I danced an amazing choreography at the Frankfurt Station as part of the German Gymnastics Championships with my dance group back then – the atmosphere was incredible – we danced to 'Holiday' by Madonna; a special remix version. Then I headed to the subway and took a tram for a bit longer. A beautiful surprise followed. The Libertine Lindenberg Hotel with a very special concept and design. I felt comfortable right away and had a good feeling about it even during the booking process. Early in the evening, I went for a little walk and picked up a few small items. I'm currently feeling calm and hopeful inside. I'm grateful that I can throw myself into this adventure. Just admired the skyline and to know that tomorrow it begins. A first meeting with (some part or maybe all?) of the group and the flight to San José. I'm curious about what will come next.
Good night!
