☕ As always, the day starts early
As usual, I was awake around 6:30 am.
At 7:00 am we went for early bird coffee with a sea view. 🥰
Then I met Verena and Sabrina for breakfast at the market restaurant at 7:30 a.m.
At 8:30 a.m. I went out on deck to let the breeze blow around my ears. 🌊
🎯 A sporty morning
The sporting events started at 9:00 am – first with darts.
I couldn't manage to win this time with a 301. The round had to be stopped due to lack of time during the subsequent killer dart.
But at least I was still alive! 😂
There wasn't much time to catch one's breath, however, because at 10:00 the outdoor sport continued directly: Viking chess.
And today went really well for my team and me:
Round 1: won
Round 2: won.
Round 3: also won.
That resulted in a resounding 3-0 victory. 😎💪
🍹 Pool Brunch & Shuffleboard XL
At 11:30 am it was time for brunch by the pool.
I ended up with a chili roll with roast beef, Caesar salad and 2 non-alcoholic mango caipirinhas on my plate or in my glass.
However, there wasn't much time to digest, because at 12:00 Shuffleboard XL was already on the program – for a full 90 minutes.
And here too, there were figures today that you almost have to read twice:
Round 1: 223 : 107
And then came the second round:
112 : 1
No, that's not a typo. 😉
Our opponent only managed to get a single point. 😂
After such an active morning, eye care was more than well-deserved at 1:45 pm.
🧑🤝🧑 Host's promotion: "2 truths, 1 lie"
At 3:15 pm we went back to the pool deck with a passion fruit spritzer.
The next host activity awaited at 3:30 pm:
"Two truths, one lie"
The guests had to work out in various rounds which of the host's statements was a lie. This involved, among other things,
- favorite food
- life before AIDA
- the most beautiful moment on board
- a story from childhood
- and a fun fact about the person.
A fun event where you could get to know the crew from a completely different perspective. 😃
📸 Wind force photo shoot
At 4:00 PM, a photo shoot at the bow was on the agenda.
However, the wind apparently had other plans.
Extremely windy! 🌬️😂
The result will therefore be rather modest.
So it was time to freshen up and move on to the next item on the agenda.
🇩🇪 Local Federal States & Best Burgers
At 6:00 p.m., the "Federal State Meeting" took place for North Rhine-Westphalia, Hesse, Rhineland-Palatinate, and Saarland. Here, the guests were able to network again and make new contacts. And lo and behold: a fellow traveler from Bad Nauheim, roughly my age, was also there.
Then it was time for dinner – Best Burger was on the menu tonight. 🍔
🎤 Prime Time with a special guest
At 7:30 pm, a very special guest, Chris, was waiting for us during prime time:
Our captain Manuel Pannzek! 🚢
He gave exciting insights into the upcoming ports and also spoke about possible challenges that await us on the next stages.
Among other things, there was a rather remarkable clue:
Please leave your Rolex and family jewels in the cabin safe. 😂
It seems it's best not to carry around all your valuables when visiting upcoming ports. 😉
📸 The captain still has to go to the photoshoot.
After prime time, the poor guy also had to be available for a photo shoot with the guests by the AIDA photographers.
But since the opportunity was there, of course I took it. 😎📸
🌙 End of the workday in front of Fortaleza
After one last drink to end the day, my workday ended at 8:30 pm and I went to my cabin.
Another day at sea comes to an end.
And tomorrow is finally the day again:
Fortaleza awaits us! 🇧🇷🌴
After several days at sea, it's time to disembark – and so begins the next chapter of this world cruise. 🚢🌎
