🥰 The 10×3 Happy Ending
The night ended at 6:30 AM – and right away, there was some really good news:
Overnight, I actually received written confirmation for my second 10×3! 🥰
It just shows what can happen when you reach out directly to the F&B Director. 😂
So now that’s all settled, and I can look forward to ten more special menus.
Right at 7:00 AM, it was time for early riser coffee. Afterwards, I took a look at today’s menu for the Rossini dinner.
And I can already say: It’s going to be good! 😁
🌊 The Amazon is saying goodbye for good
During my deck round, it was quite blustery outside. Like pea soup! 😂
You can clearly feel the protective influence of the Amazon slowly fading, and we're heading out into the open ocean again.
But there was a pleasant change: No smell of smoke anymore!
At 8:00 AM, I headed to the East Restaurant.
And the day is just bound to be good:
There was tuna salad again! 🥰
Snap – two glasses secured. 😁
After that, I checked out the pictures for today’s art auction. There were certainly some interesting works among them. 😃
🍷 The latest ship gossip
During my next deck round, I got the latest ship gossip:
A guest was allegedly so bold last night to take an entire carafe of white wine from the buffet restaurant and disappeared into her cabin with it. 😱
People, huh!
After a whole carafe of that white wine, I would probably need my annual supply of ibuprofen the next morning. 😂
No, thank you!
🎯 Shuffleboard, Boccia, and a small crafting request
At 9:45 AM, I found myself with a passion fruit spritzer at the Sol Bar. A little boost before the shuffleboard at 10:30 AM was certainly needed.
In between, I was even asked if I wanted to come for some crafting at 10:00 AM.
ME? CRAFT?
No, thank you! 😂
Especially since I would probably have to write that it's a square on a cut-out square. 😂😂
At 10:30 AM, we then headed to shuffleboard. And it went really well: won 125 : 107! 💪
As they say, one should stop when things are going great, so I skipped the second round and switched to Boccia at 11:15 AM.
There, I managed to score two points at least. 😎
Not last! 💪
The winner had twelve points, though.
But that’s alright! 😎😎😎
🍓 Strawberry Punch and the Inevitable Eye Care
At 12:00 PM, I went with Sabrina to the bar event.
There was strawberry punch! 🍓
After two glasses, I was almost ready for a midday nap. 😂
But first, of course, I needed a little lunch boost – so we headed to Bella Donna.
At 1:45 PM, it was indeed time for eye care in the cabin.
The punch and food needed to be processed after all. 😂
However, after the midday rest, I wasn’t necessarily feeling better – rather the opposite: even more tired!
So at 2:45 PM, I first had an espresso and water to prepare for the art auction.
🎨 Art Auction with a Special Moment
At today’s art auction, we also remembered Janosch, who passed away yesterday.
The auctioneer found very nice and fitting words for that.
And fittingly, a work by Janosch was auctioned off during the last Blind Date.
I haven’t jumped in yet. But I’m quite sure that might happen later during this trip. 😉
After the art auction, I quickly went for a photo-letter shoot on the outside deck at 4:00 PM, before I took a little time to sit in the sun afterwards.
And by now, it was clear:
The sea is back to being completely ocean blue.
The Amazon is now finally behind us. 🌊🇧🇷
🍽️ Rossini – A Feast Tonight
After freshening up, I headed to Rossini at 6:00 PM.
And of course, my bread was exchanged without any fuss again today. 😉
They know me by now. 😊
Even the F&B Manager (Jan-Henrik) – mind you, not Roman (F&B Director), but the F&B Manager – was up for a fun chat. We seem to run into each other five times a day. That’s probably because we are both everywhere there is food! 😂
I had mentioned the little color faux pas on the AIDA event table to him the day before yesterday. 😉
Surprisingly, at 6:00 PM, only three tables were occupied at Rossini today, amounting to just five people.
That’s likely due to the surcharge of 39 euros excluding drinks for a three-course menu.
For me, that was certainly no reason not to enjoy the evening there. 😁
🍽️ Today’s Menu
Greetings from the kitchen:
Wagyu with Parsnip Purée
1st Course:
Greek Salad “Rossini Style”
Refreshment:
Blackberry “Iced”
2nd Course:
Crispy Guinea Fowl Breast
Dessert:
Banana Split
And thus, today’s culinary chapter of this world trip was once again successfully concluded. 😋
🎶 White Party – Technically Superb but Not My Party
At 8:30 PM, I went to the pool deck for the second show of Live Beats with White Party.
Technically, Live Beats is truly an excellent show. Musically and in terms of atmosphere, however, it still isn’t my thing. I had pretty much figured that out after the first time at Live Beats. ☺️
Before I forced myself to stay longer at a party that simply isn’t mine, the decision was quickly made:
At 9:10 PM, I already headed back to the cabin.
I don’t have to love every party – after all, there are still plenty of other things to experience on this trip. 😉
Today, the spark really didn’t ignite over the entire pool deck.
🌙 Good Night from the Open Ocean
Thus ends another day at sea.
The Amazon is now firmly behind us, the sea is deep blue once more, my second 10×3 is officially confirmed, and we enjoyed another excellent meal at Rossini today.
A new day at sea awaits tomorrow. 🚢🌊
And who knows what tomorrow will bring … 😎
