The day of departure started anything but well due to a bomb defusal operations in Düsseldorf, but we had no problems reaching the airport on time. The flight itself was uneventful. We landed in Chicago at 3:00 pm local time. After a very traffic-heavy taxi ride, we finally arrived at the Wyndham Grand Chicago Riverfront.
Check-in was done in a few minutes, so we could move into our new home for the next 5 days on the 28th floor. God forbid if the elevators break down...
The view from our room is insane and gives a good first impression of Chicago. In the evening, we explored the area a little bit, although the wind made the prevailing cold feel even colder. A local resident told us the following proverb: March comes in like a lion and goes out like a lamb.
Well roared, lion!
