Point Dume

This spot on the coast of Malibu is truly beautiful! When you walk along the beach, you can see the cliff and sand dunes from a distance. You can reach the top via a small climbing path. You can also climb on the cliff itself - if you're not too concerned about the view of the surf beneath you. Behind the cliff is another bay - I'm determined to descend to this bay in the summer. Wikipedia also knows that scenes from Planet of the Apes were filmed here...

For me, it was especially nice to be at the sea on the first weekend in America. Pure happiness listening to the sound of the waves in just a t-shirt and in sunshine... The cold Viennese winter can be forgotten so quickly.
