The journey has been completed...

The backpack's weight was adjusted until the last minute. There is definitely still room for Monika's beautiful talisman. We start early in the morning from Jüchen train station. Train ride is nice, wearing a mask not so much. Then follows a beautiful city tour over Cologne, Paris, Bordeaux and Biarritz to the destination of ancestral research in Hendaye and from there on foot to Irun.

The weather is nice, it is very warm. That means rain jacket and merino jacket go into the backpack, but it will be closed due to overcrowding.

Part of the train today went over 300 km/h, for the next time definitely slowing down is on the agenda.

So far, everything is good, but unfortunately the hostel is closed.

I will do some sightseeing in the city and then find a small guesthouse for the first night.
