8th Stage from Odeceixe to Zambujeira do Mar

Today we continue on the Fisherman's path. The little break was refreshing. The place and accommodation were great.

As two days ago, I walk along the Seixe River for the first hour, but this time on the other side and towards the sea. The path does lead close to a road again, but there’s very little traffic, making it quite enjoyable.

As soon as I reach the coast, I spot the first storks again, and they won't be the last for today.

Where the path veers slightly away from the coast, there are sections where I have to almost crawl due to the overgrowth.

There isn’t a 'shoe tree' for worn-out hiking boots, but a wire works too.

The destination of today's stage is very nice, but my hostel is rather mediocre. The non-functioning internet is particularly annoying.

However, a delicious dinner, a good phone call with Monika, and the evening ambiance by the sea more than compensate for the internet issue.
