Today was a long travel day. We drove about 740 km from the Foothill Mountains of Eric's Farm on the Trans Canadian Highway through the Rocky Mountains to Merrit, the mecca of country music.

Along the way, we took a detour onto the Bow Valley Parkway in Banff National Park.

Behind every curve, there were new, fantastic views.

We then arrived in Merrit and checked into our motel.
