Robben Island Tour and Museum

Started a bit earlier today to be on time for our boat trip to Robben Island to visit the prison where Nelson Mandela was incarcerated for 18 years.

It is an UNESCO world heritage site so it is more than worth a visit and to also meet comrade fellow prisoners who had to serve their sentence there and were 24/7 exposed to the arbitrary of the wards who basically embodied Apartheid and its inhuman system. Again a day full of thoughts and tries of understanding difficult setups and conditions.

Back in Cape Town, I finally got the postcards plus stamps to write for folks back at home. It turned already 6pm before I knew it. Some yoga and then a beautiful coconut lentil curry 🙏
