In the next few days, we drove a total of 1600 km to explore the vastness of the Outback.
Driving through the red desert was very impressive. We now found ourselves traveling on exactly three roads, often hundreds of kilometers straight in one direction.
Kings Canyon was the first stop where we hiked for 3 hours in over 30 degree heat... Phew.
At dusk, we collected branches for the campfire in the middle of nowhere.
By the time we finally lit the fire, it was already dark. We cooked on the fire and then crawled into our Swags to sleep under 1000 stars. I saw 2 shooting stars and enjoyed the tranquility of the Outback.
This experience is one I will never forget. Rating: 9 points.
