Drama in 3 acts - the Earth

So we stood in full (tense) expectation in front of the door to the car deck. The ferry was over half an hour late for unexplained reasons, which made us even more restless.
Finally, the door opened and, of course, our first glance went under the car.
So, what do you expect?
I'll tell you: there was nothing. No puddle, no drop, no red dried edge.
Emotional rollercoaster is crap.

Checked the fuel level in the cockpit: 100%.
Motor briefly tested: starts up.
Exhale, inhale, exhale.

But it doesn't help at all; I had found a small workshop right in Trelleborg, the reviews read quite alright. It was supposed to open at 8 o'clock and a 10-minute drive from the harbor to there is manageable.
Due to the delay and the again very long unloading process, we weren't too early on site either, just shortly before 7:30.


The gates were open, but nobody was visible yet. A few minutes later, I heard noises from one of the two workshops, and I went over there purposefully and explained our concern to the mechanic in my basic English and sign language.
He immediately dropped his tools and made a great effort to help us honorably.
The motorhome was quickly jacked up on the side with a large jack; he rolled under it and checked the situation. Engine on, engine off, many questions, many assumptions, taking photos and comparing, pressure check and this and that.
In the end, it turned out: NOTHING.
Well, almost. Since I am not a mechanic and didn't always understand his technical English, I can only say that there is an open hole down there, with hoses sticking out. That seems strange to him, but it might be how it's supposed to be. We of course communicated with our landlord again by phone, and we agreed to keep monitoring the problem. It doesn't drip anymore. Occasionally a little, but that could also be from the air conditioning. Who knows.
On the spot, the mechanic also replaced the turn signal for us, and we asked about the price.
He wanted €50 for the 1 hour of work. Unfortunately, we didn't have cash with us, but had 350 Swedish Krona left. That's just over €30, and he was satisfied with that.
If you think €50 was too much to ask, then please consider how accommodating and quickly he helped us. Such a thing is rarely conceivable for us. No appointment, no postponing to later or tomorrow, but immediate action. He was truly a noble man.


Conclusion: Whatever the problem was that had troubled us, it's currently no longer an issue. Or at least it will continue to be observed. But for the moment, everything is back in order.
So we quickly searched for the address of our first choice for this year and arrived at the nature center near Hörby after about 1 hour. Finally, we could check into the beds and rest for another 2 hours.
Around the nature center, there are beautiful hiking trails through woodlands, the adjacent parking lot is free, and overnight stays are not prohibited here.


After the nap, we could finally relax, enjoy nature while hiking over the forest floor, roots, and moss, watch little animals, and simply arrive.
Dinner will be prepared soon, and the vacation will begin.

Swedish forests ground us time and again.
All problems are temporarily forgotten.
