As announced, we visited the Yeltsin Center today. A really modern museum that only cost a little admission fee. Some churches here demand higher admission fees. As the name suggests, it mainly focuses on Boris Yeltsin, the first President of Russia.

Another landmark of the city is the Sewastjanov House.

The town hall was built in the style of socialist classicism.

However, the propaganda department seems to have made a mistake with a sculpture...

In conclusion, we note: Impressive modern high-rise buildings stand next to run-down prefabricated buildings. As in Moscow, a lot of construction is also taking place here on site. The rich and the poor live here almost door to door.

Before I forget: We have ridden the shortest metro line in Russia and have also visited all nine stations directly. :-)

With these last impressions, we will leave Yekaterinburg soon. Our next destination will be the 'capital' of Siberia, Novosibirsk, after approximately 24 hours of travel.
