Let's go

Friday morning, into the car, off to Christchurch, on the plane to Auckland, 9 days North Island. Let's see how it goes, the three of us so close together

And already there.....

City excitement, Dana is thrilled, first into the traffic jam.......

But Devenport rewards with.....

.......... a magnificent view of Auckland

......... delicious drinks

.......... and delicious food

Then we go back, back to the big city feeling.

In the hostel we meet a Canadian in his sixties, just arrived in NZ, from Cuba, as it is too cold in Canada in winter.

He is now going to spend 3 months cycling through NZ. He does this for at least 6 months a year. He says, life is short.

An example to follow?

He certainly didn't seem unhappy...
