As poor weather was forecasted today, we decided to take a drive to visit some tourist highlights.
We started with the stave church in Røldal, the wooden structure is impressive and gives a special feeling of tradition and past. Unfortunately, we could only catch a brief glimpse of the interior as it was closed for a funeral.
We continued along the old rural road Røldalsvegen, where no cars are allowed to come towards you, as it is a maximum of 2m wide.
The opening hours of the grocery stores are really impressive, 6 AM to midnight; I wonder how they manage with the staff.
After that, we reached our parking spot (https://park4night.com/de/place/376280) with a spectacular view, following several photo stops at Låtefoss, Buarbreen glacier, Norwegian toilet architecture, a roundabout in a tunnel, and Vøringfossen (probably the most famous waterfall in Norway).
