Extended weekend in Erkelenz

I spent an extended weekend in Erkelenz with my sister and brother-in-law from August 9th to 11th, 2024. It was a good opportunity to test a longer ride on the new motorcycle from my Blue Fleet. I can preface that the test went very well. On Friday, we enjoyed a lovely party evening with Dutch friends at a Dutch campsite. My sister, brother-in-law, and his Dutch uncle played live music there. It was a wonderful evening.
On Saturday, my brother-in-law and I, who have the same bike, toured the area. I saw a lignite mining pit for the first time in my life and was very impressed by its enormous size. Later, we visited a glider airfield and watched various takeoffs and landings. To be honest, I would really like to obtain a pilot's license as well.
After a nice, late breakfast on Sunday morning, we headed home again. I ended up riding about 600 km on the motorcycle, and everything went very satisfactorily. The low fuel consumption of my Honda NC750X was particularly impressive. This means you can easily achieve 400 km per tank of fuel!
