On the way to Darwin, there were countless national parks and small natural pools. It may sound strange, but after the third or fourth pool, it was always the same and many were crowded with tourists, as it was currently vacation time. We visited a few nice campsites and enjoyed the warmth and the sun. Even though traveling in the car and sleeping in the rooftop tent were totally cool, we kind of started to miss traveling the way we used to. Especially since groceries in Australia are incredibly expensive and we only ate rice with beans, noodles, and potatoes, we really missed going out to eat, treating ourselves, and not having to count every cent 'Apparently we are a bit too old and too spoiled'. When we found out during a routine check at the workshop that some things were broken in the car and the dealer had ripped us off, the mood was ruined. We decided to sell the car again and leave Australia. More about the tedious car sale in the next article.... =)
