Tag 9: a muddy affair

On our way to Lake Peipus, we have considered for a long time whether we should visit the capitals of the Baltic states. However, we have read in many blogs and information that the traffic (like in all big cities) is extremely heavy and one day is usually not enough to explore the cities. So we have decided to visit these cities on another occasion within a city trip.

After the rain has followed us for a few days on the Baltic coast, we are now going to drive through the inland to Lake Peipus. On our way lies the Soomaa National Park on the beautiful Navesti River. We have chosen a small campsite and drove there today. We arrived without any stress in an eastern direction after about 1 hour of driving and were immediately greeted by a friendly young lady. It was quickly clarified that we are allowed to choose our own pitch. So we left the camper at the entrance and went on a walking tour. Here, too, there has been a lot of rain in the past few days and the grass was flooded on the front part of the site, so standing there was out of the question. In the back part, we could already see two more campers and wanted to take a closer look at the location there. As we got closer, we could already see that one of the campers had gotten completely stuck in the wet grass and the second one was trying to pull him out backwards. We offered our help and pushed along. We tried different options, but nothing freed the camper. Only the possibility with our all-wheel drive camper was left and fortunately it also helped to free the camper. Now the second one was himself so deeply buried in the mud during his rescue operation that he couldn't get out anymore. So once again we tried to push the second camper out, unfortunately without success. So our "Super Campervan" was used for a second time and it worked excellently again.

Finally, we managed to choose a pitch in peace, borrowed an extension cable for electricity from one of the camper colleagues, and moved on to the cozy part.

For dinner, we had pizza from the pizza stone. It was really good, but we still need a bit more practice ;)
