The Whanganui Journey, a 100 km canoe tour over 3 days, is behind us. All in all, we enjoyed the tour a lot and liked the scenery of canyons covered with evergreen rainforests. Even the unique capsizing in the notorious "50:50 rapid" was somehow a good experience.
Unfortunately, time is short, so I will report more later.
In a few minutes, we will start the Abel Tasman Track, a five-day hike. This morning, we packed for 4 hours. So far, we are doing fine, we are just a little nervous, wondering if we have forgotten anything and if we will manage our equipment.
