In the Kangaroo Kingdom - Murramarang National Park

Published: 11.02.2019

The journey back from Canberra to Batemans Bay on the coast is going well. So we, despite a visit to the Visitor Center, are still sitting by the water eating our cereal before 11 am.

Our path leads us directly to Murramarang National Park. From Pebbly Beach, we start a hike to Durras Mountain. The path is very beautiful, and we see kangaroos, parrots, and a monitor lizard. However, the view at the "summit" is disappointing. On the way back, we also stop by Clear Point, where we find more kangaroos. Also at our campsite at Depot Beach. The beach here, and especially the color of the water, is so stunning that you can hardly get enough of it.

When we were observing the starry sky after dark, a possum "attacked" us from behind. But when we "shot" the culprit with light, it fled 😊
