On our first day in Freycinet National Park, we spend some time doing short walks to Cape Tourville, Sleepy Bay, and the Friendly Beaches. We set up our camp for the night at the Friendly Beaches campground. Since this campground is fully booked every day in summer, a friendly Tasmanian (David) offers to share his spot with us. In the end, there are 3 parties at the campsite. Everyone is very disciplined, so it's nice, cozy, and entertaining. The beach stretches over 9 km and is interrupted by colorful rocks. There is also plenty of wildlife, including the obligatory pademelons, wallabies, and a wombat that we can observe during our beach walk. Amazing!
