These two days were once again spent traveling back and forth. There are only a few direct flight connections between the individual South Pacific countries. To get from Vanuatu to the next country, Tuvalu, we had to fly back to Fiji. We flew from Port Vila in Vanuatu to Nadi in Fiji, and the next morning we flew from the capital of Fiji - Suva, to Funafuti in Tuvalu. Of course, not everything went smoothly. The plan was to have only a one-hour layover in Suva. This one hour had to include getting off the plane, receiving our luggage, checking in again, leaving the country, and getting back on the plane. The challenge was that we were already half an hour late leaving Nadi, so we only had 30 minutes left in Suva. Luckily, everything runs on Fiji Time here and people are very relaxed. We managed to do everything and we actually departed from Suva 40 minutes later, to arrive in the heavily rainy Tuvalu after 2.5 hours.
