11/06/2021 - from Neuffen to Varollo

After 1.5 years, we are finally going on vacation together.

We drove from Neuffen to Varollo with a loaded car. Instead of usual highways, we took country roads. Uphill and downhill, lots of curves and turns, and we passed through picturesque Austrian and South Tyrolean villages. After almost 8 hours, we reached the small village of Varollo in Val di Non, Trentino. We had booked an apartment for 2 nights in a historic residence from 1672. Here, we were warmly welcomed by our landlord with a drink in the blooming garden. For dinner, we went to the De Eccher restaurant in Cles. Although we couldn't read the Italian menu well, we still had a great meal and enjoyed the first evening of our vacation.
