01/08/2019 - Modriki / Fiji

From Nadi it took 30 minutes by car to Lautoka and from there onwards by boat. It was not a good day to go out to sea with a small boat. The wave crests exceeded the height of our boat and caused quite hard impacts, and we got completely soaked. After a two-hour journey, everything was over and we arrived on the small South Seas dream Modriki, also called Monuriki, belonging to the Mamanuca Islands. An uninhabited island where the movie Castaway with Tom Hanks was filmed. We were also alone on the island paradise for a while and even found Wilson ;-). We boarded our little boat again and the wobbly ride continued to the island Waya Lailai.
