We're slowly coming to the end of our trip. Because of Harry Potter, we had to leave Scotland for England quite early, but we don't mind that much because it gives us the opportunity to see more of England. And England is definitely worth it.
Our plan for today was actually to go to a campground in Oxford that has a very good bus connection to the city. Unfortunately, when we arrived there, we found out that a) we can only enter at 1:00pm and b) the campground only has spots without electricity. Luckily, I noticed that right in front of the campground there is a Park and Ride parking lot! So we decided to go there instead and park for only 2 pounds for 24 hours. Can't complain about that. The bus costs us just under 5 pounds for a round trip for all of us, which is also not really much. Lucky for me that I saw the signs for the Park & Ride parking lot as we passed by!
Oxford is a beautiful city. The most famous thing are the many colleges, but the rest is also really worth seeing and you can also shop very well!
And if you're thinking: 'Wait, she mixed in pictures of Harry Potter in between' No, I didn't. The 'hall' of the students is actually the inspiration for the Great Hall in the Harry Potter movies! The students actually have lunch here. Not quite the same as the student canteens in Germany, right?
I think this choir stall is AMAZING! I've seen it in all the English churches we've visited. They all had these great extra seats for the choir with music stands and lamps! And in all the churches there was also a piano next to the organ! We should have that too in Germany, that would be fantastic!
