A vacation from vacation, or a break from traveling as one might say. For the first 9 days, we treated ourselves to an Airbnb with a huge pool.

The island is often described as boring, but for us, it was perfect because we just wanted to cook, go to the beach, and cruise around on a scooter. We still visited a very beautiful temple complex and I got a traditional bamboo tattoo.

Unfortunately, the rainy season lasted a bit longer than usual this year, so we were often caught off guard by rain. Near our accommodation, there was a small market every evening with super fresh produce and the best fried chicken I've ever had!

Afterwards, we did a 6-day yoga retreat on a mountain. The weather was very bad, especially at the beginning, but it felt like a little winter for us. The hut was in the clouds and very cozy.

Every day, we had a yoga session at 7 o'clock in the morning and in the evenings, there was Gong Meditation. There was also a very good meditation teacher there. We would have loved to stay another week.
