Autumn holidays and what we do here...

The autumn holidays started here on Monday, we don't actually have time off, but since we are mostly unemployed, it feels like a holiday. But a few things happened in the week before:

I was a substitute teacher (for a whole five minutes), there were lectures about the solar system and about mental health, and I got to cook with only one stove plate. The latter was on Friday. That's why I made these yeast egg creatures, which were very well received.

On Saturday, we had to supervise a game afternoon, but no one came... still, we had to wear these cool T-shirts:

But thanks to the lack of visitors, I had more time for crocheting. I want to crochet a sweater and that takes a lot of time, as you know.

And now to our actual holiday task: In the volunteer house, we have an old kitchen that looks and is very used. On Tuesday, a new kitchen (or rather its parts, as it is from IKEA) was delivered. We can now assemble the cabinets so that the municipal workers can install them when we are at a seminar (in three weeks). Our living room looks like total chaos in the meantime. And that for the second time.

The first time, we were allowed to clean out the basement. The previous volunteers had stored their unwanted clothes there, and we were allowed to sort through them (sort them out).

However, we still have plenty of time for other things, like playing the accordion: 

or even for the new design of our mailbox (I removed the names for data protection reasons): 

and tomorrow is the International Mental Health Day, where we can also help. 

We no longer go hiking, as it gets colder outside (currently 7°C, with light drizzle) and it already looks like this in the morning: 

One of my roommates thought it was snow... admittedly, he was still a little sleepy, but I don't think we have to wait much longer for the first snow.
