After 8 days of quarantine, I decided to go to the mountains. I went to Askvoll, where I had been before.
I walked through a quiet valley for a long time, but then I realized that the path would lead me to one of the mountains and that the ascent would be very steep. I quickly grabbed my water filter and refilled my water bottle at a small stream.
When I reached the summit of Eggene/Siktanuten, it was very windy and my cap almost got blown away.
It seemed like the neighboring mountain Blåfjell was only a few hundred meters away, but in reality I had to go down into a valley and then go up again. But this time I really reached the summit! In January, I had to stop just before reaching the summit because a storm front was approaching. I sent a picture to Vlada, the person I was hiking with at that time.
When I was back home, she texted me that she was bathing and asked if I wanted to come over. So I packed my bathing suit and went to Askvoll again to go to the fjord with Vlada and other volunteers who were visiting her.
The water was icy cold, but after some time you got used to it, and then you noticed the high salt content. Later, we went back towards Dale, where we volunteers filmed a video for the Pride Parade, which will be shown in a livestream.
Late in the evening, when it had cooled down a bit (we had 29°C at noon), we wanted to take a walk by the stream, but the water was too cold for us, so we preferred the living room.
