Spices, turtles and the old town

Today was all about culture:

First, we were able to get to know all kinds of spices and fruits on a spice farm.

An experience of smell and taste. The “stinky fruit” in particular surprises with its good, sweet taste.

After that, it was on Prison Island. It was intended as a prison, but it was never used as one.

Once a quarantine station, it is now home to countless giant tortoises that are up to 250 years old.

This was followed by a tour through Stone Town, the old town of Zanzibar.
