On Friday after breakfast, we drove to Franschhoek with a few other girls from our house. Franschhoek is one of the best wine regions in Cape Town. The town of Franschhoek is compact but very beautiful. There are many wine tasting options available. We did a wine tasting in Franschhoek with a Wine Tram, a vintage-style tram.
We took the tram from Franschhoek to the first stop and enjoyed the first tasting there. We then took an older cool bus to the next stop. In total, we visited four wine estates. Each estate has a beautiful landscape. We then took the Wine Tram back to the town at the last stop. We had a delicious meal in the town before heading home at sunset.
On Saturday, we had a more relaxed day in Cape Town. We visited the big shopping mall and of course did some shopping.
On Sunday morning, we went to a church in Sir Lowry's Pass. We found it very interesting to visit a church in South Africa. The church there is completely different from in Germany. At the beginning, there was a gospel choir singing, which was really amazing, and then the pastor gave a sermon on a specific topic. The service lasted almost three hours. It was a great experience.
For the rest of Sunday, we made trailers for the kids in our kindergarten that we want to give as a farewell gift. Our last four days will start tomorrow, and then we will embark on the famous Garden Route.
