To Vancouver Island over the water

After two months in Vancouver, it's time for something new. And since I don't feel like dealing with the up to -40°C further east, I'm heading west to the island. You can take the ferry from Vancouver to either Nanaimo or Victoria. I'll be staying in Victoria for the next few weeks and then explore the other cities on the island.
The ferries, like the Sylt ferry, are double-ended ferries for combined car and passenger transport. Unlike the Sylt ferry, which is operated by a company from Flensburg but was built in Norway, the ferries here are operated by a Canadian company but were built in FLENSBURG! So I immediately felt at home on the ferry :)
