Off to Big White

After spring slowly arrived in Kelowna, I wanted to experience the snow one more time. A friend of mine from the Christmas market works at the Big White Ski Resort, about an hour away from Kelowna, so that was my destination.
The bus tour started with spring in Kelowna, moved on to 'okay, there's still some snow here', then 'okay, there's actually a lot of snow here', and ended with 'how many meters high is the snow here, please?'.
Yes, in Big White, it's still deep winter in April.
Since I had never been on skis before, I spent the first few hours on the beginners' hill. And I have to say, it went really well. Unfortunately, the day didn't end as well as it started. We wanted to take a beginner's slope at the end, and that turned out to be too much for the first day. I'll be wearing a knee brace for the next six weeks :/
Sometimes, you should listen to your instincts when they warn you! But it was still a beautiful day in the snow :)
