Room with a view

Attentive readers will have noticed that the title of the blog is a bit strange. By now, the perlenketten will have been explained, today we come to the second part.

In Natchez we had a good time and looked for a pleasant hotel. For the first time, you had to check out until 12 o'clock, which did not prevent the lady from housekeeping from starting the room cleaning at 9 o'clock. We sent her away again, had breakfast and then left the field to her.

Today, with 300 miles, the longest section of our journey was on the program, but that was no problem. Yesterday we refueled our Outlander for the second time and set off. Nadine read again and took care of her eyes for a few minutes until we arrived in Memphis after a short stop at Burger King.

We headed straight for Graceland, but everything was already closed, we will see how we want to integrate and can do that in tomorrow's day.

Then came the hotel technical highlight of the trip. We checked in at the Big Cypress Lodge, which is located in the largest Bass Pro Shop in the world, which in turn is located in a spectacular pyramid directly on the Mississippi. Madness, from the outside as well as from the inside.

We checked in directly and inspected our great room. That's something completely different from what we had the last few days, but that was the plan. Photos can only convey this to a very limited extent. Memories ultimately remain in the mind and not on hard drives... so let's enjoy the evening and explore Memphis tomorrow!
