Arrival with extras

The actual arrival from Düsseldorf started! We were at the airport overly punctual, checked in early, boarding without any problems. And then? Delayed departure due to bad weather. More than 2 hours late. So our buffer for the transfer in Dubai was used up.

Arrival in Dubai at 1:32 am, boarding ends at 1:30 am. A nice gentleman at the end of the gate informed us that we could no longer catch our flight. At the same time, he provided new tickets and a hotel accommodation until Sunday, continuing the flight on Monday!! Completely excluded from our travel planning, as our train leaves early on Monday morning.

Fortunately, he was able to book us an earlier flight, on Saturday morning. Which means 6 hours in a hotel, breakfast, showering at the expense of Emirates. So we left the airport and entered the Emirates.

The heat shock for us, winter-prepared people, including 36°C in the morning at 3 o'clock, was something else, it felt like hitting a wall.

Four hours later back at the airport, Dubai Airport is really big, boarding, continuing the last part, a 16-hour flight.

It's good that Leo is a perfect travel child, all the excitement bounces off him, even after 30 hours of travel with little sleep, he remains a well-balanced child.
