Peru_2025 - Day 20: Travel Preparations

On the Way to Germany

Today we started the first leg of our journey home. We traveled from Puerto Maldonado back to Lima. There, we booked a nice airport hotel. After our original flight was delayed, the new flight ended up being quite late. However, we passed the time excellently in the pleasant company of two other Germans. At the hotel, we at least made use of the wellness area a bit and then had dinner. Thus, three beautiful and exhausting weeks have come to an end.

Note, 10/11/2025:

We have now been back home for two weeks and have noticed that daily life has unfortunately extended its long claws far too quickly again. Since we skipped the Nazca Lines in Peru, we are making up for it today. The movie “Maria Reiche: The Secret of the Nazca Lines” is showing in the cinema. It’s nice when things just fall into place.

How wonderful... Now we have finally seen the Nazca Lines, even from the air. The film came at just the right time.
