But still not everything seen After a rather weak start to the day, energy returned over the course of it. We spent the day in Cusco and realized that we still haven't seen everything. We discovered the market and another beautiful neighborhood next to San Blas. Celebrations were being prepared for the evening there, and a resident told us that it used to be a problematic area. He mentioned that his nephew lives in Munich and likes Germany for its beer, sausages, and because there are no highway tolls like in Italy. The Rainbow Mountains could at least be admired as a mural (without altitude sickness). We still had some travel arrangements to take care of, especially since a few days ago we received a travel warning from the Foreign Office (greeting: Dear compatriots) regarding protests/demonstrations related to transportation around Machu Picchu. It should all be back to normal by tomorrow or Sunday, which is good since there is no Plan B. From our location, there was no continuous road connection. In the evening, we ducked into a cozy place before the heavy rain and returned to the hotel well-fed and with dry feet. Considering that the day went differently than planned, it turned out to be very nice after all.
