Incredible …

Incredibly early and then, after hours of travel, this day started off incredibly beautifully. We left around 05:00 for our tour with our small group 'Sexy Lamas' (so we wouldn't accidentally join another group). After a quick breakfast, we embarked on a hike of about 13 km (6 km up and 7 km down; highest point 4,637 m), which was probably the slowest of my life. It was simply breathtaking and beautiful, and just when you thought that must be the highlight, it didn't get more beautiful, but rather in a different way. By the way: even though they look edited, the photos are not retouched. The restroom at over 4,000 m is indeed charged, but not very comfortable. During the descent, despite sufficient acclimatization to the altitude, the first symptoms of altitude sickness became apparent, which significantly worsened during the four-hour return journey at around 3,400 m (lots of twists and turns!). This condition led to the sensible but sadly disappointing decision to cancel the tour planned for the next day to the 'alternative' Rainbow Mountains.
