New York: Stressful, modern and cozy

Wotae: 29.04.2018

First, today (28.04.18) we went to a super cute little pizzeria in Brooklyn. We both had a delicious calzone. Afterwards, we took the subway towards Manhattan. We got off at the beginning of 5th Avenue and were already amazed. Everything is exactly as you know it from TV and even though it's hectic, it's cool. You see the yellow taxis and school buses driving around. There are huge cars and limousines on the streets, there are cool shops, ice cream and hot dog stands, and people of all kinds, each with a fancy drink in hand :D We tried to orient ourselves and then we discovered an information pillar. But not a usual one with a regular map, but a monitor where you can open Google maps or get direct Wi-Fi. Unbelievable. So we knew where we wanted to go. So we walked along 5th Avenue. It's longer than we thought :D

On the way, we passed by the Empire State Building, Flatiron, Chrysler Building, Trump Tower, Rockefeller Center, Public Library of New York, and various churches. Our first destination was the Victoria's Secret store :D I bought some fancy underwear 😊 Then we went to the famous Apple Store and checked out the madness and hustle from the inside. It was busy :D Finally, we arrived at Central Park and Tim bought a coffee and I got some ice cream, and we enjoyed the sun until 5:00 pm. Then we took the train back to the hotel and found out that our travel group doesn't start until tomorrow evening. That means we have another whole day. Yay!
Tomorrow, we want to grab a bike here and explore Brooklyn and then ride to Manhattan and bike through Central Park. We also want to find out what shows are playing on Broadway. Maybe we'll find something cool 😊
