Day 7 Devils Tower

Today, we leisurely sleep in on Sunday. Then breakfast and packing. The health situation has improved by 50%. Regina and I are feeling much better, and we will take care of driving and navigation. The two who have newly fallen ill will sit in the back, and off we go to Devils Tower. It can be seen from afar. It proudly rises from the landscape. Of course, in America, there is a road built up to the base of the tower, with appropriate parking spaces. Without Beate, we set off on the small loop trail around the tower (about 2.4 km). It was exciting to watch the climbers on the 270-meter-high rock wall. Then we continue into the Black Hills to the main town, Rapid City, where we have settled into a nice, affordable hotel.
