A new highlight is on the horizon, Bryce Canyon. In 1 hour's drive, we arrive at the National Park and even manage to find a parking space. Then we walk to the edge and are left speechless. A marvel of erosion. Spontaneously, we decide to hike the Navajo Loop Trail. It takes us right through the rock spires and towers. We descend 160 meters in elevation to the canyon floor, and we have to climb back up again. We are no longer in sandstone but in the limestone that overlays the sandstone, which presents itself to us here as dolomite. After a short break, we explore the park by car and stop at the many viewpoints. We captured a record number of photos today. After visiting the visitor center with several purchases, we leave the park and have 20 km left to Tropic. One more quick stop at Mossy Cave with a brief hike in picturesque scenery, then we head to the hotel. This evening at the restaurant, there will be country live music, along with beer and grilled ribs.
