Tag 13 - Arrival at Sierra de Castril National Park

Hello everyone

Today we had a real errands and driving day. The laundry was actually dry in the morning and we could put everything away. We had breakfast outside again, in the sun. This morning it was really, really warm for the first time - summer seems to have arrived slowly in Spain :) After we had emptied everything and filled up with water, we started. The paths on the campsite were soooo narrow and had trees with crowns at such a stupid height that we got caught with our awning when we left. At first, we thought it was ripped off, but it turned out to be a mistake. We had actually loosened the screws in a few places and not reinstalled them, so it was just unhooked and could easily be reassembled (of course, the main screws are still there, it can't just fall down ;)).

Today we have set ourselves the goal of visiting the 'Sierra de Castril' National Park. We drove inland through a very varied landscape: through a kind of desert that could rival the 'Sierra Nevada', past huge forests, unbelievably wide fields, and with views of deep blue reservoirs.

Now we have arrived next to 'Castril'. There is a great hiking trail there that we want to walk tomorrow. Kevin spotted a stray dog... a really cute one that was running around between the cars here. He really fell in love with it... Now it ran away, maybe it will come back?

There won't be much more today: I will cook mashed potatoes with minced meat and vegetables (we still don't have burger meat :D) and otherwise, we will just enjoy the evening.
