Twenty-fourth day: Chiloé to Puerto Varas (May 4, 2019)

Wotae: 05.05.2019

The weather is typical for the area and appropriate: it's raining and the sun only occasionally makes an appearance. But the sky opens up every time we want to visit a church. We take the mostly unpaved road along the coast. The churches are closed, but some have glass windows that allow us a glimpse inside.

Back on the mainland, we enjoy the (obscured, of course, by fog and rain) view of Lake Llanquihue from an Italian restaurant in Puerto Varas.

A sleepless night awaits. Will everything work out? Returning the car, storing the luggage at the bus terminal, buying new tickets for the bus ride?
