Since we are currently on the Galapagos Islands with very poor internet, regular reports are unfortunately difficult.
After leaving the foggy capital behind, we went to Trujillo, further north of the country, a 10-hour bus ride. Beautiful colonial buildings in the center and around 1500-year-old, much too little-known pre-Columbian sites of the Moche culture. For their age, they have held up well, the face of the main god is almost as freshly made up as back then. Thankfully, human sacrifices are no longer made nowadays. Unfortunately, these sensational excavations are not financially supported here, instead the focus seems to be on integrating nice imitations of famous paintings from a specific famous European church into their own (photos will follow, currently not uploadable). However, we could only enjoy this city, which tries to be like Europe even though it has its own culture #eurocentrism, for one day before a longer bus ride was ahead.
