Hospital Visit

Hellooo, today we got up early to not miss breakfast. 😉 Unfortunately, Mareike was still not feeling better, rather worse. Therefore, we decided to go to the doctor and have it checked once.

At 12 o'clock we were at the doctor's and got an appointment for 4 p.m..😟 We passed the time by looking at 'Queens Street', a huge shopping street. For lunch, we had a snack in a restaurant and then, around 2 p.m., went back to the doctor's because Mareike was getting worse. She was seen right away and after ten minutes was referred to the hospital with suspicion of dengue fever or malaria (Bali is a high-risk area for both cases).

We spent our entire afternoon at the hospital, five hours. Some tests and examinations were carried out and then, thank God, the all-clear came: Mareike only has a slight flu. With plenty of water and a little rest, she should be feeling better soon.

To 'celebrate', we went for delicious burgers and are now relaxing in the hostel in the evening, so that we can explore Brisbane a bit tomorrow (provided Mareike is better tomorrow).😊
