Nazare

Now that we have been with the host family for about three weeks and, as the last huge project, erected a tepee structure made of self-cut, 10 meter high eucalyptus trunks, we are now in Nazare, a relatively large city directly on the Atlantic. With an underwater canyon ending right in the coastal region of Nazare, it has the biggest waves in all of Portugal. At some times of the year, the waves there reach a height of thirty meters. However, not at the moment. In any case, we are now here in a holiday apartment and actually spend the whole day on the beach or looking at the places. Since Nazare is more south than Troviskal (the place where the host family lives) and we are going up north again next week, we can even visit them again. I'm really looking forward to it because we've agreed that we'll then sew an orange (the host mom is a doctor) as a preliminary exercise in case of an emergency. We came up with this when my brother injured himself with an axe. But luckily nothing bad happened. In any case, it is nice and quite warm here!
