I had also booked a shore excursion here. We were welcomed by a steel band and took the bus into the hustle and bustle of the capital St.George's. We went through narrow streets, which often only had one lane, so we had to constantly deal with oncoming traffic, over mountains and valleys through lush vegetation to our first destination, a chocolate factory. There we learned how chocolate is made and were able to taste different types. After a visit to the factory shop, we continued to a waterfall, from the highest point of which daring locals plunged into the water in exchange for tips. There was also a shop with local products here. I couldn't resist nutmeg jam, pepper jelly, banana ketchup and more.
Afterwards I looked around a bit and discovered a cage in which a sad-looking monkey was sitting (I later discovered that there was a second monkey in the background). The monkey enjoyed my petting.
