The days in Sydney were super relaxing. We took the ferry and our stolen shade tent to Manly Beach, we chilled with our air lounge and Kindle all day in the Botanic Gardens, we walked through the nearby neighborhoods multiple times, enjoyed the delicious offerings, and took hundreds of photos of the Opera House and Harbour Bridge. For New Year's Eve, we treated ourselves to a unique experience. Knowing that about 1.6 million people are expected and that they even camp out in front of the entrances, we secured a ticket for the 'Clark Island Garden Party'. With only 478 other guests, we had an island with a view of the Harbour Bridge, a 3-course menu, a DJ, and good seating options. The 8 tons of fireworks were set off at 9pm for the 'little ones' and of course at midnight for the 'big ones'. So, we were able to cross this highlight off our bucket list. It was a wonderful and fantastic evening that will be unforgettable.
Having packed everything up again, we are now heading to Hawaii.
